Oceanbotics has launched the SRV-8C, a compact Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) designed to provide professional-grade underwater inspection in a highly portable format.
Standing at just over 15 inches tall, the new vehicle is the most compact entry in the Oceanbotics lineup. The system is engineered for efficiency, allowing the ROV, tether, and essential accessories to be transported in a single rolling case. This configuration aims to reduce logistical complexity and enable faster deployment in the field compared to traditional inspection-class systems.
The SRV-8C maintains the maneuverability and software interface characteristic of the broader SRV-8 Series while introducing a more accessible price point. Despite its smaller footprint, the vehicle is capable of performing critical underwater tasks including object identification, detailed inspection, and retrieval. It features an industry-leading battery life, providing up to four hours of operational time.
This model completes the SRV-8 Series, joining the existing SRV-8 and SRV-8X platforms. To maximize existing investments for fleet operators, all accessories are fully interchangeable across the three models, and the entire series utilizes the same intuitive control software.
