Micro-Magic Inc has expanded its precision inertial measurement portfolio with the launch of the M3G-210/220 high-precision triaxial MEMS gyroscopes.
The new series is engineered to deliver high-level technical performance, featuring zero bias instability of 0.1 °/h and an angle random walk maintained within 0.1 °/√ h. Designed for reliability in demanding environments, the devices are housed in a sturdy aluminum alloy structure capable of withstanding significant vibration and impact. The sensors operate effectively across a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, utilizing an internal sampling rate of up to 2000Hz and a signal bandwidth exceeding 200Hz to capture rapid dynamic changes.
A primary focus of the M3G-210/220 design is its high level of compatibility with existing industry infrastructure, specifically matching Sensonor’s STIM200/202 solutions. The hardware features identical external specifications, mounting hole positions, and a standardized 15-pin Micro-D connector layout. This physical alignment allows for system upgrades or equipment replacement without the need for mechanical modifications to the host platform.
Integration extends to the software level through multiple communication protocols and specialized working modes. The STIMGYRO-90 mode is optimized to achieve complete integration with STIM200/202 systems regarding data formats, instruction sets, and working status. Additionally, the series supports custom communication protocols to provide developers with flexible integration options. The units also retain professional features such as external trigger inputs, time synchronization signal outputs, and comprehensive system self-monitoring with status reporting.
This technical architecture represents a shift toward reducing system integration barriers while improving core performance indicators. The design allows the M3G-210/220 to be quickly incorporated into various inertial measurement systems, ranging from precision optical stabilization platforms and motion control devices to scientific research equipment and industrial detection systems.
The balance between technological innovation and system compatibility is an important direction for the development of high-end measuring equipment. The practice of M3G-210/220 in this regard shows that through careful design, performance improvement and system adaptation can be organically unified. With the deepening application of measurement technology in various fields, this solution that combines excellent performance and good compatibility will bring more choices for system integrators and end users.
The M3G-2XX series has already entered service for users in key sectors, providing a new pathway for the expansion of inertial measurement applications in environments that demand both high precision and easy system adaptation.
