Allient Inc. is set to present its latest precision motion systems at SPIE Photonics West 2026, scheduled for January 20-22 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Booth #3325.
The showcase features the upcoming ThruSight-Theta, a rotary stage scheduled for release in April 2026. This system utilizes a unique motor architecture that provides a large through hole and best-in-class axial height while operating with zero cogging torque. As a global designer and manufacturer of specialty motion, controls, and power solutions, Allient focuses on providing high-performance technologies for targeted industrial applications.
The company will also highlight its new precision granite-based motion solutions. These systems utilize granite base options to provide an ultra-stable platform for sensitive imaging and processing tasks. The architecture includes a Z Lift stage with 50 mm travel and an air counterbalance, offering an integrated solution designed to simplify supply chains and accelerate time to market. Performance specifications for the XY stages include 0.4 um accuracy and +/- 30 nm bi-directional repeatability, while the Z stage offers 0.2 um accuracy.
John Baumann, Group President, commented, “SPIE Photonics West offers the opportunity to showcase the precision, flexibility, and innovation of our motion systems. We’re excited to present solutions that set the standard for high-performance photonics and advanced imaging applications.”
In addition to the new reveals, Allient will display its Ready-to-Ship (RTS) portfolio, including Open Monolithic XY and Closed Center Monolithic XY stages. The Closed Center LM models feature a three-plate design intended to improve orthogonality, stiffness, and vertical stability. The low-profile architecture of these units is engineered to reduce machine height and system mass, which effectively minimizes both static and dynamic tip and tilt Abbe error. These units achieve linear accuracy of less than 0.5 um and bi-directional repeatability of +/- 30 nm.
The technologies will be available for demonstration at the Allient Denver (ALIO Industries) booth during the three-day event.
