FlyingBasket has become the first in Italy to be granted a Light UAS Operator Certificate by the Italian aviation authority, Ente Nazionale Per L’Aviazione Civile (ENAC).

This milestone marks a significant step forward for FlyingBasket. The LUC ( Light UAS operator Certificate) permits the operator holding the certificate to approve its operations.

The certificate is granted to an operator after a demonstration of a high level of maturity, safety, and compliance.

“The Light UAS Operator Certificate opens up new avenues for our cargo drone operations, enabling us to expand our services, explore the applications further, and collect use cases with various clients. This certification not only validates our commitment to compliance and safety but also positions us as leaders in the drone industry,” said Moritz Moroder, CEO of FlyingBasket.

FlyingBasket is an Italian company based in Bolzano, specializing in the design and production of cargo drones, with a payload capacity of 100kg. According to FlyingBasket, the use of cargo drones opens up exciting possibilities for businesses looking to overcome logistical challenges and explore new avenues for growth.
