FlyingBasket, a leading developer of heavy-lift cargo drones for commercial and civil applications, will participate in a panel discussion at Xponential Europe focused on overcoming obstacles to wider drone adoption.
FlyingBasket is a manufacturer of heavy lift drones that are used in operations for industries such as energy, logistics, construction and more.
“Clearing Obstacles: What the Industry Needs to Get Airborne Now”
FlyingBasket CTO, Matthias Moroder, will join Marc Kegleaers, Co-Founder & Chairman at ADLC – A Drone Logistics Company, for an open discussion on the challenges facing the drone industry as part of European Drone Forum, taking place on Monday 17th February at 17:20 CET, Düsseldorf, Germany.
The panel, which will be moderated by Máté Pusztai a UAS inspector for the Irish Aviation Authority, will explore how regulatory and market barriers are hindering the industry’s potential, despite technological advancements.
Industry Collaboration Key to Unlocking Drone Potential
FlyingBasket has practical experience operating heavy-lift drones in real-world logistics scenarios, often replacing traditional methods like helicopters and cranes. The discussion will be focused on how the drone industry is ready to take off, but regulatory and market barriers still hold it back. The company’s technology is mature and already on the market. From a regulatory perspective FlyingBasket has already seen advancements as demonstrated by receiving the first LUC certificate in Italy, and the first operational authorisation for a cross-border operation in Bavaria back in 2021. However, scaling up the industry requires a collaborative effort.
The discussion will emphasize the importance of regulators and operators working together. While regulators provide essential safety frameworks, they also have a role in fostering confidence in scalable, real-world applications. Operators, with their practical experience, can provide valuable insights to refine regulations, ensuring they are both robust and practical.
FlyingBasket believes that challenges should be viewed as opportunities for progress. The company stresses the need for industry-wide trust, built on proven safety, clear standards, and collaboration between regulators, operators, and end users. With demonstrated capabilities and clear demand, the focus now is on accelerating drone adoption.
