ElevonX’s Tango eVTOL UAV is a versatile fixed-wing Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) platform designed to provide reliable performance across demanding operational environments.
Available in 3.0 and 4.4 wingspan configurations, the platform combines the endurance and efficiency of fixed-wing flight with the flexibility of VTOL operations, enabling deployment from confined, remote, or infrastructure-limited locations.
The Tango 3.0 features a Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW) of 21.5kg, carrying payloads of up to 5kg. The larger Tango 4.4 expands the platform’s capabilities with an increased MTOW of 29kg, and payload capacity of up to 10kg.
Designed as a multi-payload Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), Tango supports a range of mission requirements including Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), security monitoring, inspection and critical delivery applications.
Performance & Capabilities
Optimized for long-endurance operations, the Tango eVTOL UAV delivers extended flight performance while maintaining a compact and transportable design. The Tango 3.0 can achieve up to three hours of flight time with lightweight sensor payloads, while the Tango 4.4 extends endurance to up to five hours with lightweight payload configurations.
The Tango 3.0 and 4.4 can reach cruise speeds of up to 22 m/s. Both variants are designed for stable operation in challenging conditions, with robust flight characteristics suited to demanding outdoor environments.
Integrated safety features, including parachute recovery capability, enhance operational reliability and provide additional protection for the aircraft and payloads during missions.
Mission Applications
The flexible configuration and long-range capabilities of the Tango platform enable use across a wide range of operational scenarios, including:
- Highway monitoring
- Open-pit mine surveillance
- Border surveillance
- Wildlife park protection
- Critical delivery
- Water landing capability
The UAV’s VTOL capability, payload flexibility, and endurance make it suitable for missions requiring persistent aerial monitoring, remote operation, and reliable access to challenging environments.
Payload Integration & Operational Flexibility
Tango is designed to accommodate a variety of payloads, enabling operators to configure the aircraft for specific mission requirements. Sensor packages for surveillance, monitoring, inspection, and data collection can be integrated to support both commercial and security-focused operations.
