The ElevonX Scorpion is an elastic-powered UAV launcher that can be easily transported and set up by two operators. Designed from the ground up with safety, durability and ease of use in mind, the catapult offers consistent launch velocity with low margin or error, and is ideal for a wide range of commercial or tactical deployments.
The system provides redundant safety features and can undertake hundreds of launches with only minimal maintenance. All elastic is enclosed within the launcher tube to eliminate risk to operator or equipment in case of band failure.
Scorpion has been constructed from industrial-grade CNC-machined aluminium and stainless-steel components, with a marine-grade pulley system as well as powder coating for increased protection. An optional 12V electric winch can be used to tighten the launcher to full power in about 60 seconds. The carriage and foldable arms can be easily modified by ElevonX to support any platform, including a custom-machined adapter to connect your specific UAV.
The Scorpion launcher is available in two variants, designed for UAVs with either a 14 or 28 kg MTOW at a launch speed of 15 m/s.
