The MU-2A-AC is a six-axis Fiber-Optic Gyroscope (FOG)–based Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) developed by Aegiverse.
It is designed to provide measurement of angular velocity, linear acceleration, and orientation for unmanned and autonomous system applications.
Sensor Configuration
The MU-2A-AC is a six-axis IMU incorporating closed-loop FOG together with three-axis MEMS accelerometers. This configuration enables the unit to output inertial data for motion sensing and attitude determination.
Performance Specifications
The IMU offers high-grade inertial performance, including a gyro bias instability of approximately 0.020°/hr and an angular random walk of around 0.010°/√hr. Gyro bias stability is specified at approximately 0.100°/hr.
Accelerometer performance includes a ±20 g measurement range, with bias instability of approximately 12 µg and velocity random walk of around 65 µg/√Hz.
The MU-2A-AC measures approximately 158 × 140 × 86 mm and has a system weight of around 1.5 kg, supporting integration into a range of unmanned platforms.
Aegiverse Inertial Technology
The MU-2A-AC is part of Aegiverse’s lineup of FOG–based IMU. Aegiverse develops and offers FOG-based gyros and IMUs as part of its product portfolio, which includes sensors designed for space, aviation, land, and maritime applications.
