AvTrak 6 is an advanced all-in-one acoustic transceiver designed for reliable AUV tracking, communication, and relocation in complex subsea environments. Developed on the 6G hardware platform with Wideband 2 spread-spectrum processing, it merges the roles of transponder, transceiver, and telemetry link into a single, compact unit. Its open interface and RS232 integration make it ideal for medium to large AUVs where dependable performance and low power draw are critical. Compatible with Sonardyne’s USBL and LBL systems, AvTrak 6 supports simultaneous ranging, navigation aiding, and two-way data exchange between AUVs, vessels, and other networked assets.
Engineered for operational versatility, AvTrak 6 serves missions across energy, defense, and science sectors. It supports swarm operations, emergency relocation tracking via internal battery, and optional configurations for omni-directional or directional transducers. Operators can select from LMF and HP variants to meet specific depth and acoustic performance requirements. The instrument’s precision timing synchronization, configurable data rates, and robust housing enable dependable use across a broad range of AUV mission scenarios.
