Opal is a rugged tactical edge computing platform designed for autonomous vehicles, multi-channel video streaming, recording, and AI-enabled processing across professional and homeland security applications. Based on the Maris Jupiter-AI platform with an NXP i.MX8M Plus processor and onboard Hailo-8 AI accelerator, the system supports advanced detection, classification, and tracking capabilities for demanding operational environments.
The compact MIL-STD-compliant unit delivers ultra-low-latency streaming over wired and wireless networks while supporting simultaneous video, audio, and telemetry recording, playback, encoding, and decoding. With multi-channel analog and HD-SDI video support, detachable 1 TB storage, and rugged IP67 construction, Opal is optimized for autonomous vehicle operations, tactical ISR, border protection, search and rescue, and intelligence gathering missions.
