The Boreas 50 Series delivers a compact and rugged Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) and Inertial Navigation System (INS) designed for precision navigation in demanding unmanned and autonomous platforms. Utilizing Fiber-Optic Gyroscope (FOG) technology and high-grade accelerometers, it provides accurate orientation, position, and heading data without relying on external GNSS inputs. The system’s north-seeking gyrocompassing determines true heading from the Earth’s rotation, removing dependence on GNSS satellites and maintaining accuracy in denied or jammed environments.
Three variants address a range of applications. The A50 model integrates precision FOG sensors and accelerometers. The D50-X20P combines dual GNSS receivers for enhanced positional awareness, while the D50-MX5 adds internal jamming and spoofing resilient GNSS receivers for electronic warfare operations. Built for rugged conditions, the Boreas 50 Series meets IP67 environmental standards and is undergoing MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461 qualification. Applications include defense navigation, guidance, and control systems, as well as mining equipment alignment and marine ROV/AUV navigation.
