Drone Rescue Systems GmbH and the Roter Group of Companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at bringing advanced drone safety solutions to India’s growing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) market.
The agreement was signed by Markus Manninger, CEO of Drone Rescue Systems GmbH, and Sajid Mukhtar, Head of Roter Group of Companies, marking a step toward expanding access to professional drone safety technology in India.
Drone Rescue Systems specializes in professional, certified drone safety solutions, with a focus on fully independent and autonomous parachute recovery systems designed to protect people on the ground in the event of an in-flight malfunction. The company’s wider vision is for parachute recovery systems to become as essential to drones as airbags are to cars.
The collaboration brings together Drone Rescue Systems’ safety technology and Roter’s experience in UAVs, precision instruments, and geospatial technologies. Roter Precision Instruments has an engineering heritage dating back to 1936, with an established focus on innovation and India’s developing drone ecosystem.
Through the MoU, the companies aim to combine their respective technologies and expertise to make advanced drone safety solutions more accessible across India and help establish new standards for safe UAV operations.
The collaboration reflects a shared emphasis on improving drone safety as UAV applications continue to develop.
