The DRS-10 is a drone parachute recovery system specially designed for UAVs with an MTOW (maximum takeoff weight) of between 5 and 10 kg. The lightweight system uses an electrically-triggered catapult mechanism, with no servos, and requiring no pyrotechnics or consumables.
The system operates completely autonomously and is totally independent from the drone flight controller and other electronics. The parachute will reliably activate under any conditions, deploying in milliseconds even when autopilots or radio links have failed.
The low-SWaP system uses a rugged carbon cage enclosure and can be easily connected and disconnected via a simple bayonet-lock mechanism. The re-usable parachute can be repacked within minutes, allowing you to get back in the air as quickly and easily as possible.
