BeeX is an innovative developer of autonomous underwater vehicles and mission software for scalable defense, inspection, survey, intelligence, and search operations.
Unmanned Systems Technology (UST) is pleased to announce the addition of BeeX to our global supplier ecosystem. Their new supplier profile showcases a versatile range of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and supporting software designed to transform underwater operations at scale for defense and commercial customers.
BeeX’s untethered underwater systems address the cost, manpower, and scalability limitations associated with conventional tethered ROV operations. The company’s AUVs combine advanced autonomy, navigation, configurable sensor payloads, and flexible deployment options, with multi-drone capabilities enabling operators to extend coverage across large subsea areas. BeeX also offers commercial underwater inspection and survey services through a Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) model.
Key products and capabilities include:
A.IKANBILIS: BeeX’s flagship autonomous underwater drone for structural and seabed inspection, featuring integrated inertial navigation, multidirectional maneuverability, and autonomous, manual, and untethered operating modes.
ALPHA: A lightweight 50 kg AUV designed for rapid mobilization from small vessels of opportunity, supporting autonomous structural and seabed inspection in commercial and defense environments.
BETTA: A powerful long-endurance underwater inspection drone offering 8–24 hours of continuous operation, advanced navigation autonomy, and support for manipulator payloads for combined inspection, survey, and light intervention missions.
CASPER: A fast, low-cost expendable defense drone that can utilize anomaly detection for mine countermeasures and operate as part of a multi-drone swarm to expand coverage and accelerate seabed intelligence collection.
SAMBAL: An integrated autonomy, mission control, and data intelligence suite encompassing onboard autonomy, mission planning, real-time data review, georeferenced inspection data, AI-assisted anomaly classification, and cloud-based reporting.
BeeX systems support a broad range of defense missions, including mine countermeasures, critical underwater infrastructure monitoring, clearance diving, and search and rescue. Commercial applications include inspection of offshore and coastal infrastructure, seabed surveys and mapping, structural mapping, non-destructive testing, and seabed debris searches. Configurable payload options such as multibeam echosounders, stereo cameras, lasers and magnetometers further enable the vehicles to be tailored to specific operational requirements.
For commercial customers, BeeX’s RaaS approach provides vehicles, operators, deployment equipment, and reporting infrastructure without requiring customers to own or operate an AUV fleet. Combined with vessel-agnostic deployment and automated data collection, the approach is designed to improve the scalability, consistency, and efficiency of underwater inspection and survey operations.
