Allient, a developer of advanced motion, control, and power solutions for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), has appointed Ben Vespone as Director of Engineering at Allient Rochester.
In this leadership role, Vespone will oversee all new product development and value-add design and integration projects, with the Allient Rochester engineering team reporting directly to him.
Vespone holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Rochester. He brings extensive experience launching complex electronic and electromechanical products into highly regulated markets.
His background spans a broad range of technical disciplines, including electronics, embedded systems, motion control, requirements management, risk analysis, standards compliance, and collaborative new product development execution.
Vespone also has experience in aligning engineering investments with business strategy, coaching and developing engineers, and managing customer-facing technical and commercial challenges.
Allient Rochester, formerly known as ORMEC Systems, designs and manufactures servo drives, motion controllers, single- and multi-axis integrated assemblies, and value-added subsystem and system-level solutions for mission-critical motion control applications.
Its technical experts partner closely with customers and Allient’s global solutions team to address technical challenges, support strategic business goals, and deliver enhanced value to end users.
