EIZO Rugged Solutions Inc. has introduced the Condor GR6S-AD2000 – a ruggedized 3U OpenVPX form factor video graphics and GPGPU card powered by the NVIDIA RTX™ 2000 Ada Generation Embedded GPU.
The Condor GR6S-AD2000 is a SOSA®-aligned, I/O-intensive 3U VPX video capture solution designed for high-performance computing systems that require real-time video capture and AI-accelerated data processing.
The new card supports up to six 12G-SDI video streams, including four dedicated inputs and two dedicated outputs. This flexible I/O architecture enables seamless multi-video ingestion, processing, and transmission, enhancing real-time situational awareness in mission-critical applications.
NVIDIA RTX 2000 GPU
The NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada Gen Embedded GPU features 8 GB of GDDR6 graphics memory with 3,072 CUDA cores, 96 Tensor cores (fourth generation), and 24 RT cores (third generation).
The NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture also includes an eighth-generation NVIDIA hardware encoder (NVENC) with AV1 encoding, which, when coupled with the video capture capability of the product, provides low-latency compression and video streaming capabilities that are essential for C5ISR applications.
This solution features PCI Express Gen 4 (x4, x8, or x16 lane) connectivity and bifurcation/daisy chaining support, delivering high flexibility and ultra-fast data transfer speeds that help ensure unparalleled efficiency and responsiveness for data-intensive tasks.
The Condor GR6S-AD2000 was developed in alignment with the SOSA Technical Standard, supporting SOSA payloads 14.6.11-0 and 14.6.13-0. The Condor GR6S-AD2000 is designed to meet VITA 47.1 environmental specifications for temperature, shock, and vibration.
Chris Fadeley, Chief Technology Officer, stated, “Capturing and displaying SDI video data in VPX systems has been challenging due to the mismatch between 75-ohm video signals and VPX connectors designed for 50-ohm and 100-ohm differential pairs.
“The Condor GR6S-AD2000 solves this by integrating a 75-ohm NanoRF aperture with our Condor Video Engine, enabling direct SDI capture and output within a SOSA-aligned payload. This seamless integration ensures true payload interoperability with SOSA-aligned backplanes.”
