MostaTech, a developer and manufacturer of Fiber Optic Gyroscopes (FOGs) and FOG-based Inertial Measurement Units (FOG IMUs), is set to unveil the company’s new G321M three-axis FOG at XPONENTIAL Europe, Düsseldorf, February 18-20, 2025.
Engineered to address the growing demand for high-performance inertial sensors with optimized size, weight, and power (SWaP), this next-generation gyroscope delivers enhanced capabilities in a more compact form.
With a footprint of just 53x53mm, the G321M marks a notable size reduction from its predecessor, the G121, which measured 52x58mm. Performance sees a major boost as well, offering an 8 kHz data rate—twice as fast as earlier models limited to 4.8 kHz.
At its core, the G321M integrates three precision single-axis Fiber Optic Gyroscopes within a durable framework, along with a fully embedded three-channel ADC board that provides angular rate outputs through an RS422 interface. This advanced sensor ensures exceptional stability, boasting low noise levels with a bias stability of 1°/h and an angular random walk (ARW) of 0.025°/√h.
A key highlight is its built-in magnetic shielding, achieving a magnetic immunity of 0.3°/h/Gauss—critical for operation in magnetically challenging environments. Despite this added protection, the device maintains an ultra-lightweight design at only 145g.
Designed for efficiency, the G321M operates with a minimal power draw of just 2W, making it an excellent choice for applications where compactness, reduced weight, and low power consumption are essential.
The G321M will be showcased at XPONENTIAL Europe (Booth #1F04) and XPONENTIAL Houston (Booth #3301).
