Malta-based sensor manufacturer MostaTech has surpassed 100 employees as it continues to expand its production capabilities for Fiber Optic Gyroscopes (FOGs) and FOG-based Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs).
The milestone represents a more than threefold increase in personnel compared with 2019, when the company employed 33 people. This growth follows continued investment in manufacturing and Research and Development (R&D) capabilities in Malta, where MostaTech operates an advanced production facility at Mosta Technopark.
MostaTech specializes in miniature FOGs and FOG-based IMUs designed to provide precise motion and orientation measurements. Developed for compact, low-power applications, these devices provide inertial data for navigation, stabilization, and flight control in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), robotics, and other autonomous platforms.
The company’s growth comes amid increasing demand for compact, reliable, and high-performance inertial sensors across aerospace, marine, navigation, and unmanned applications. Its workforce now represents 14 different nationalities, bringing together a range of technical expertise and professional experience to support customers worldwide.
