UAV Navigation, Grupo Oesía’s highly specialized company in guidance, navigation, and control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), has inaugurated a new high-tech center in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid.
The new center of excellence expands UAV Navigation’s operational capabilities with state-of-the-art facilities, including an advanced design and electronics lab and an innovative flight testing lab.
These new facilities consolidate UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía’s technological proficiency in the UAV industry in key international markets, positioning the company to better innovate in artificial intelligence solutions and autonomy for unmanned systems.
This strategic investment reportedly strengthens the company’s position as a leader in the global market for autonomous and intelligent systems, facilitating further expansion and technological development.
Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony was attended by esteemed individuals, including:
- Lieutenant General Miguel Ivorra Ruiz, Director General of Defense Industry Strategy and Innovation
- Lieutenant General Julio Ayuso, Director of INTA
- Guillermo Cisneros, Rector of the Polytechnic University of Madrid
- Héctor Roldán, CEO of Grupo Oesía
- Miguel Ángel de Frutos, Director and CTO of UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía
The Secretary of State for Defense, María Amparo Valcarce, officially inaugurated the facilities, remarking, “UAV Navigation has proven to be a significant international player, actively participating in major Ministry of Defense programs such as FCAS, which sets the course for the future of European defense.”
Nuria Castro, Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Innovation and Employment of San Sebastián de los Reyes, also participated in the event, stating, “Our municipality is firmly committed to supporting initiatives like UAV Navigation’s. We aim to make San Sebastián de los Reyes a fertile ground for ideas to flourish, where businesses can thrive, and where innovation is not just an aspiration but a reality.”
