UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía is developing advanced On-Screen Display (OSD) technology to improve the Primary Flight Display (PFD) of flight control systems, providing first-person visualization to NATO CAT I & II UAS operators.
The advancement has been designed to integrate with IP cameras and Visionair, the company’s advanced mission planner. The new HUD (Heads-Up Display) technology provides UAV operators with enhanced situational awareness catering to both civil and military applications.
By overlaying vital flight data on the live video stream, operators can make more informed and quicker decisions to maintain superior control over their UAV operations. The remote pilots will be able to estimate distances to other platforms, improving flight safety and precision during landings, as well as other maneuvers and applications.
This significant advancement has been specifically designed and developed for Primoco UAV, whose platform is in the process of acquiring the STANAG 4703 certification.
