Amprius Technologies has received the AS9100:2016 certification for its Fremont, CA production facility.
This certification, received from Smithers Quality Assessments, Inc., establishes a framework for continual improvement as Amprius continues to supply batteries to the burgeoning electric aviation industry, helping to advance technologies like eVTOLs, high-altitude pseudo satellites (HAPS), and drones.
AS9100:2016, an international standard specific to the aerospace sector, enhances ISO 9001:2015 requirements to ensure that products align with stringent customer and regulatory requirements. To earn this certification, Amprius’ recently expanded Fremont facility underwent a rigorous evaluation process and audit. As a part of the evaluation process, Amprius has also successfully renewed its ISO9001:2015 certification, a globally recognized standard for quality management systems (QMS).
