Our products provide the highest known energy density of any commercially available lithium-ion batteries in the world, offering a drop-in replacement for conventional solutions while delivering up to 200% greater run time.

Our commercially available SiMaxx™ batteries deliver up to 450 Wh/kg and 1,150 Wh/L, with third-party validation of 500Wh/kg and 1,300 Wh/L. To address growing customer demand, we expanded our product portfolio to include the SiCore™ platform in 2024, significantly enhancing our ability to serve additional applications. 

Our advanced SiMaxx silicon anode, lithium-ion batteries are designed and manufactured in the U.S., and have been selected by the U.S. Department of Defense as well as industry leaders such as AALTO Airbus, BAE Systems, AeroVironment and Teledyne FLIR.

SIMAXX LEADING BATTERIES

The new SiCore batteries are based on an innovative, proprietary silicon anode material system delivering high-energy-density silicon anode batteries that surpass state-of-the-art graphite cell performance today. The new silicon anode cell chemistry is designed to offer high energy density, up to 400 Wh/kg, and long cycle life, as many as 1,200 cycles at full depth of discharge.

Our corporate headquarters is in Fremont, California, where we maintain an R&D lab and a MWh scale manufacturing facility for the fabrication of silicon anodes and cells. To better serve customer demand, Amprius has entered into several agreements securing over 500MWh of contract manufacturing available immediately! The company has also entered into a lease agreement for a GWh-scale manufacturing facility in Brighton, Colorado.

Our patented SiMaxx silicon anode technology features a unique manufacturing process that results in ultra-high energy density batteries. Thanks to our innovative nanowire structure, we have addressed the issue of swelling, which has historically hindered the adoption of silicon. Offering the world’s only commercially available 100% silicon anode, our cell is capable of storing up to ten times more lithium than conventional graphite cells.

Our advanced silicon anode batteries also demonstrate good cycle life and fast charging times.
