Mercury engines for USVDynautics has confirmed that it has provided an engine control solution for a Singapore-based client developing a custom USV (unmanned surface vessel) platform. The client needed to control three Mercury outboard engines on the vessel.

Interfacing to third party devices, such as engines, on USVs can be challenging, with complex technical issues that need to be overcome for safe and reliable remote operation. Dynautics is experienced in providing control software that seamlessly integrates into third party drive and motor control systems.

In addition to developing the control solution, Dynautics also established itself as a Mercury dealer in the process, with the help of export partner Barrus Ltd. This means that Dynautics now has access to Mercury’s G3 engine set up software, a critical factor in calibrating and optimising engine performance.
