The Flylanders, also known as the Aero Team at NJIT SAE, were surprised by the real-world performance data they collected while testing their drone’s motors and propellers using equipment from Tyto Robotics.
Listen to their journey firsthand, “We planned to use last year’s motor, but the thrust stand revealed it only provided 7 lbs of thrust, not the advertised 10.5 lbs.”
This revelation drove them to explore different motors and propellers until finding the perfect match for their design. They used the Series 1585 Thrust Stand to test their motors and props.
