Tyto Robotics, a developer of professional test equipment for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and drones, has formed a five-year agreement with WindShape, to make both companies’ test solutions more accessible to UAV developers worldwide.
This partnership with WindShape, a Swiss manufacturer of advanced flow generators for aerodynamic testing, will focus on four key initiatives.
Global Availability
Tyto Robotics will distribute WindShape products worldwide, including wind walls, wind tunnels, the WindProbe measurement system, and related software. Leveraging a distributor network in over a dozen countries and direct sales from its Canadian headquarters, Tyto Robotics is set to expand the testing technology by WindShape to a wider international market.
Seamless Flight Stand Integration
The partnership aims to improve propeller testing by integrating WindShaper devices with Tyto Robotics’ Flight Stand technology. This ecosystem combines hardware, electronics, and software for comprehensive motor and propeller analysis.
The Flight Stand product line includes thrust stands, dynamic propeller balancing software, and capabilities for testing distributed electric propulsion systems.
This new integration brings Flight Stand and WindShaper equipment together in a unified, seamless platform, which users can download now on Tyto Robotics’ website.

Expanded Educational & Training Resources
Tyto Robotics is dedicated to helping developers learn about WindShapers and aerodynamic testing through detailed tutorials and educational content. Articles and videos are already available on Tyto Robotics’ website and social media, explaining topics such as UAV in-flight ice buildup and propeller performance at different airspeeds.
Tyto Robotics also plans to showcase new applications for WindShapers beyond UAVs, including in automotive, biological, and infrastructure testing.
