Airbus presents the Flexrotor, a Group 2 small tactical VTOL UAS engineered for long-endurance ISR missions with a minimal operational footprint.
The Airbus Flexrotor is a state-of-the-art vertical takeoff and landing UAS designed for defense and civil operations, including ISTAR, SIGINT, and ELINT. Compact and transportable, it can be deployed from a single vehicle or small vessel without the need for special launch or recovery equipment.
Powered by a 28cc two-stroke engine running on gasoline or heavy fuel, the Flexrotor provides 12–14+ hours of endurance and carries up to 8 kg of payload, supporting a wide range of sensor and communication systems. Built for rugged conditions, it operates in winds up to 27 knots and has been tested in extreme temperatures and high altitudes, proving its reliability in demanding environments.
Watch the video to see the Flexrotor in action and explore its advanced capabilities and mission-ready applications.
