FarSounder develops and manufactures Argos 3D forward-looking sonar for USVs (unmanned surface vessels), AUVs (autonomous underwater vehicles) and yachts of all sizes. These systems are capable of generating a true, 3-dimensional image ahead of a vessel in real-time at navigationally significant ranges. The unique patented technology is able to provide customers with a whole suite of sophisticated navigation capabilities. In addition to its real-time capabilities, Argos 3D forward looking sonars can also be used to record depth measurements along the vessel’s recent path. This depth information is not only beneficial for the FarSounder user but can also be shared with the entire maritime community via the IHO’s crowdsourced bathymetry initiative and the Seabed 2030 campaign to map the entire world’s oceans.
