In this video, Tyto Robotics tests the DJI Mini 4 Pro in front of the 6×6 WindShaper under three turbulence conditions: gusts, a checkered airflow pattern, and a dynamic checkered pattern.
Before each test, the team discusses how they expect the drone to respond before comparing those predictions with its actual behaviour in the airflow.
The results did not always match those predictions. The Mini 4 Pro recovered after being pushed back by the initial gusts, while the checkered and dynamic patterns produced different responses than anticipated. The tests demonstrate the value of controlled wind testing for evaluating drone behaviour under complex airflow conditions rather than relying on predicted performance alone.
