In this video, three drone propellers are tested to determine which produces the least noise. The experiment features the Flight Stand 15 from Tyto Robotics, a high-precision thrust stand designed for mid-sized UAV propulsion testing.
The test setup includes:
- DFRobot Sound Sensor – Measures acoustic output
- AXI 8110 Motor – Used to spin each propeller under consistent conditions
- Flight Stand 15 – Accurately measures thrust, torque, and RPM
- Flight Stand Software – Records and visualizes performance data
Propellers Tested:
- 26-inch Xoar
- 28-inch Mejzlik
- 30-inch Mejzlik
This test also demonstrates Tyto Robotics’ new software feature, Input Transformations, which allows external sensors, such as sound meters, to be connected for synchronized data collection. This enables UAV developers to make better-informed decisions when choosing components like propellers.
