AGISTAR has introduced the USVSTAR, a compact Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) developed for water sampling and environmental monitoring.

The system provides researchers, institutions, and environmental agencies with an efficient and portable method for collecting accurate water quality data in a range of aquatic environments.

Lightweight Construction and Rapid Deployment

The USVSTAR features a lightweight, modular design that can be assembled within minutes. Supplied in a dedicated carrying bag, it can be easily transported and deployed from riverbanks, reservoirs, or coastal areas. Despite its small form factor, the platform maintains stability during high-speed operation. Its navigation system allows it to travel smoothly through varying wave conditions without risk of capsizing, whether in shallow water, inland lakes, or open marine settings.

Pump-Based Water Sampling

At the core of the USVSTAR is a robust water sampling system. A pump mechanism enables the collection of up to five liters of water, stored in onboard containers for subsequent laboratory analysis. The design ensures uncontaminated samples are obtained from precise target locations, including areas that may be difficult or unsafe for direct human access.

Integrated Sensor Options

A robotic arm located at the stern supports real-time water quality sensors. AGISTAR provides a selection of compatible probes capable of measuring salinity, blue-green algae, pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, and other customizable parameters. This configuration enables the platform to perform both physical sampling and live environmental measurement during missions.

Remote Operation and Real-Time Data

The USVSTAR can be remotely operated within a 20-kilometer range via a camera-assisted control interface that supports accurate navigation and situational awareness. Its onboard software includes tools for water quality analysis and real-time data visualization, allowing users to monitor measurements as they are collected. This capability improves data reliability and supports immediate decision-making in the field.

Customizable Power and System Integration

The vessel incorporates a customizable power station with open architecture, allowing users to connect additional systems such as GNSS modules, sensors, or other scientific instruments. This modular design supports a wide range of research and monitoring applications.
Flexible Procurement Options

AGISTAR offers the USVSTAR for purchase or rental to meet the operational needs of different research programs and organizations. Combining portability, efficient sampling, and sensor integration, the USVSTAR provides a reliable and adaptable solution for collecting high-quality water data across multiple environments.
