Sense Aeronautics outlines SenseStream as a new method for integrating its video analytics platform with DJI drones.

The solution is designed to support existing DJI workflows, enabling operators to access analytics through a plug-and-play approach without altering established processes.

SenseStream is a third integration approach, designed for tactical operators using the remote controller without FlightHub 2, while still requiring low-latency video sharing, recording, telemetry, and real-time AI analysis in a single workflow.

Plug-and-Play Video Streaming for Real-Time Analytics

SenseStream uses DJI remote controller Cloud Services, specifically the Open Platform for third-party systems. This enables secure routing of live video streams to the Sense Aeronautics platform, where they are immediately available for visualization, recording, telemetry integration, and real-time AI processing. The result is an operational pipeline from live drone video to actionable insights without custom integration or complex setup.

Low-Latency Live Video Sharing

SenseStream streams live video from DJI drones with very low latency, making it suitable for operational monitoring and real-time decision-making. Each session automatically generates a live video link, includes pause and rewind functionality, and provides a QR code for instant access. Links can be shared with operators, command centers, or stakeholders without additional software installation.

Live Video Recording

The platform supports continuous recording of the video feed, enabling centralized storage, post-mission review, and use for reporting, analysis, or evidence.

Recording directly from the live stream removes the need to manually retrieve media after each flight.

Telemetry-Aware Streaming

SenseStream combines video with telemetry and mission context, including drone position, telemetry data, and time-aligned metadata. This allows detections to be correlated with geographic location and mission timeline, supporting analysis and reporting.

Real-Time AI Video Analytics

SenseStream serves as a direct ingestion layer for the Sense Aeronautics video analytics platform. Once connected, video is analyzed in real time, alerts can be triggered during the mission, targets can be detected, tracked, and contextualized, and reports can be automatically generated after mission completion, without requiring custom development or integration work.
