Sense Aeronautics, a developer of AI-powered video analytics solutions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), has introduced an new target geolocalization feature for its Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) solution.
The new target geolocalization feature, a powerful addition to ATR, significantly enhances person and vehicle detection capabilities. By integrating drone and camera telemetry, the updated system now offers GPS coordinates for detected targets, allowing real-time mapping and precise geolocation.
The latest feature also provides distance estimation to the target, improving spatial awareness for critical decision-making, and enhances AI detection performance by leveraging telemetry as prior information, resulting in improved accuracy in challenging conditions.
The target geolocalization feature delivers greater situational awareness and precision, significantly enhancing the effectiveness of drone-based surveillance and monitoring operations.

Sense Aeronautics’ ATR solution is designed to automatically detect and classify targets of interest within EO (electro-optical) and IR (infrared) video streams, offering faster, more cost-effective, and less error-prone results compared to human operators. The system’s scalability allows it to manage a large number of video streams, making it ideal for use with drone fleets and swarm applications.
The latest iteration of the ATR solution introduces the ability to retrieve telemetry data from drones, which boosts AI performance and provides valuable geolocation data for detected targets. This makes it possible to display targets on a map, enhancing operational awareness.
The ATR system is available for deployment on the edge, as well as on local, public, and private Cloud-based environments, ensuring flexibility in various operational settings.
