The CMM 340 and EMM Mixed HP connector architectures from Nicomatic address the challenge of combining signal transmission and power distribution within space-constrained electronic systems.
Both are presented by Nicomatic as mixed interconnect solutions for addressing Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) requirements without compromising reliability, offering different approaches to contact density and high-power integration.
CMM 340 Maximizes Contact Density at 2 mm Pitch
The CMM 340 features a three-row, 2 mm pitch architecture with a redesigned geometry for maximum compactness, while maintaining an overall footprint similar to the CMM 320.
Accommodating up to 64 power or RF contacts within a single connector, it offers what Nicomatic describes as the highest density of special contacts on the market.
The series supports three configuration types:
- Mixed: High Power (HP)/ Low Frequency (LF) or High Frequency (HF)/LF.
- Multi-mix: LF + HP + HF.
- Special: Full HP versions.
For PCB integration, straight and 90° angled contacts are available in through-board PCB versions to accommodate routing constraints.
EMM Mixed HP Provides Up to 10A Per Contact
The EMM Mixed HP incorporates high-power capabilities into Nicomatic’s existing EMM micro-connector architecture, combining a 1.27 mm pitch with a current-carrying capacity of up to 10A per contact.
Available configurations include mixed signal and power layouts, alongside special versions accommodating up to 15 power contacts.
The range also provides several termination options to accommodate different routing requirements, including straight HP through-board PCB contacts, cable versions, and 90° HP contacts.
Supporting High-Density Electronic Integration
The CMM 340 and EMM Mixed HP offer two approaches to addressing SWaP constraints, combining compact connector architectures with different contact configurations and termination options.
With 2 mm and 1.27 mm pitch formats respectively, the two series provide options for combining signal transmission and power distribution within restricted connector footprints.
