SMART is an intelligent subsea monitoring instrument that combines acoustic telemetry, data logging, onboard processing, and low-power operation in a single, compact unit. Designed for long-term deployment on seabed structures, pipelines, and risers, SMART provides high-resolution insight into the condition and performance of critical offshore assets. Built on Sonardyne’s 6G hardware platform with Wideband 2 digital signal architecture, it ensures dependable communication and data integrity in high-noise subsea environments while supporting deployment depths up to 7,000 meters.

Fully customizable to meet unique project requirements, SMART integrates a six-degree-of-freedom sensor package as standard, with additional interfaces for external sensors. Its onboard processor performs advanced data analytics, transforming raw measurements into concise, actionable information that can be harvested acoustically or via high-bandwidth BlueComm optical links. Offering up to ten years of autonomous operation, dual-redundant storage, and ROV-friendly design with optional acoustic release, SMART enables precise, long-duration monitoring campaigns that reduce risk and operational cost while enhancing structural awareness and asset protection.
