Mini-Ranger 2 USBL is a precision subsea positioning and communication system engineered to deliver professional-grade tracking performance without the complexity of deep-water USBL solutions. Compact and easily deployable, it provides accurate tracking for AUVs, ROVs, divers, towfish, and uncrewed vessels in nearshore to mid-depth waters. Based on Sonardyne’s 6G acoustic platform and Wideband 2 digital technology, it offers a standard range of 995 meters, extendable to 4,000 meters with an optional upgrade. The system integrates seamlessly with a variety of 6G transponders and supports Sonardyne Messaging Service for reliable two-way data transfer and control.
Designed for both commercial and research operations, Mini-Ranger 2 enables users to track up to ten targets simultaneously with accuracy between 0.2% and 1.3% of slant range, depending on configuration. Optional Marine Robotics software enhances capability, allowing command and control of up to ten vehicles within a fleet.
