Acoustic Data Logger Long-term subsea wellbore monitoring & data retrieval system
Acoustic Data Logger

The Acoustic Data Logger is a robust, long-duration well monitoring system engineered to record, store, and acoustically transmit wellbore pressure and temperature data from depths up to 3,000 meters. Designed for both short-term appraisal campaigns and multi-year deployments, it delivers consistent performance in challenging offshore environments. Built with super duplex stainless steel for extended corrosion resistance, the system integrates seamlessly with both IWIS and non-IWIS downhole gauges, enabling accurate and continuous data capture without the need for intervention.

Utilizing Sonardyne’s 6G and Wideband 2 acoustic technology, the Acoustic Data Logger allows large volumes of logged data to be transmitted to surface platforms, vessels, or uncrewed systems at rates between 300 and 9,000 bps. Configurable logging intervals from two minutes to five days provide flexibility across diverse well monitoring applications. ROV-deployable and portable, the system can be redeployed between wells as needed, offering up to three years of autonomous operation. With 512 GB internal storage, low power consumption, and compatibility with external battery packs, the Acoustic Data Logger delivers dependable subsea data collection for well integrity, reservoir management, and long-term production monitoring.
