MK2E2 Hybrid photonic 11-DoF IMU with optical Z axis
MK2E2

The MK2E2 is an 11-DoF hybrid IMU combining a photonic integrated-circuit optical gyroscope on the Z axis with MEMS gyroscopes, accelerometers, magnetometers and inclinometers. It provides inertial measurements for drones and autonomous platforms experiencing extended GNSS interruptions, and is highly suited to operations in contested environments.

The optical sensing path has no moving mass and is highly resistant to vibration and electromagnetic interference. The Canadian-made, ITAR-free unit is individually factory-calibrated and provides RS-422 or CAN-FD output for integration with the host navigation system. Its rugged housing is rated IP57, with IP67 certification in progress.
