High-Performance NDAA-Compliant Batteries for UAVs & Unmanned Systems

Exergy eSolutions is a leading U.S.-based developer of advanced battery technologies for UAVs, unmanned systems and robotics. Offering a range of ruggedized and NDAA-compliant options, the company’s product portfolio delivers high-power and high-discharge solutions that meet the most demanding of defense and professional requirements.

With deep expertise in battery pack architecture and manufacturing, Exergy partners with proven cell suppliers to source high-performance cylindrical and pouch cells, combining them with aerospace-grade components to create robust products that ensure maximum energy density and flight endurance. These state-of-the-art solutions enable OEMs and integrators to power the next generation of unmanned and autonomous systems.

NDAA-Compliant Battery Manufacturing

Exergy | NDAA-Compliant Battery Manufacturing 6S2PExergy’s NDAA-compliant battery products are manufactured and assembled using a secure, traceable supply chain free from covered foreign entities. These packs provide ultra-reliable power solutions for U.S. and allied defense and government organizations, UAV manufacturers and integrators working on critical UAS programs.

Exergy manages the full battery development lifecycle, from initial concept and rapid prototyping through to defense-standard testing and full-scale production. The company’s expert engineering teams combine thermal management and advanced assembly techniques to address complex operational challenges such as galvanic corrosion in demanding field environments. Pack design and manufacturing are developed around the real-world integration and size, weight and power (SWaP) limitations faced by today’s UxV designers.

Performance-Optimized Hard-Case Battery Packs for Demanding UAV Applications

Exergy’s Maverick hard-case battery packs feature sealed aluminum enclosures that surpass the limitations of traditional shrink-wrapped designs, providing rugged environmental protection and enhanced water resistance for demanding field operations. Internally compression-optimized cell arrangements help maintain structural integrity and ensure consistent end-of-life (EOL) performance.

The product range offers a choice of configurations to accommodate different voltage, capacity and discharge requirements. All Exergy battery packs are designed to pass UN38.3 certification, ensuring safe transport and deployment.

Maverick M1 High-Discharge Battery Packs

High-current UAV power with optional temperature monitoring

Maverick M1 batteries are designed for UAV and UxV systems with the most extreme of current demands. Capable of continuous discharge current of up to 477A and peak power density of up to 5000 W/kg, the range includes 4S3P, 6S2P and 12S1P configurations.

The packs are designed without integrated protection circuitry for mission-critical applications using dedicated external charge and discharge management. Connection options include XT90 and AS150U power connectors, with optional dual NTC thermistors for temperature monitoring. Direct busbar mounting is recommended for high-current applications.
