Phins is a Fiber-Optic Gyroscope (FOG)-based Inertial Navigation System (INS) designed to deliver precise positioning and motion data for demanding marine and subsea operations. The system provides accurate position, true heading, attitude, speed, depth, and heave, supported by a high-performance Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and embedded digital processing running advanced filtering algorithms. Its strapdown architecture enables stable, drift-controlled navigation, making it suitable for operation in both GNSS-assisted and GNSS-denied environments.
Engineered for flexibility, Phins supports multiple aiding inputs including DVL, electromagnetic log, GNSS, USBL, LBL, and depth sensors, allowing it to adapt to a wide range of vessel and underwater vehicle configurations. The system offers low-latency data output, static and dynamic alignment modes, and a web-based interface for configuration and monitoring. With integrated data logging, network time synchronization capability, and versatile connectivity options, it supports seamless integration into complex platforms. Designed for reliability and continuous operation, Phins is maintenance-free, compliant with maritime standards, and suitable for both civil and defense applications.
