Advanced Counter-UAS Systems for Detecting & Defeating Unmanned Threats

CACI International’s counter-unmanned systems (C-UxS) division develops state-of-the-art solutions that detect, track and defeat rapidly evolving modern drone threats.

Built on more than two decades of counter-drone experience, the company provides modular, scalable and software-defined technologies that are designed to protect national security, military personnel, critical infrastructure, and civilian populations.

More than 700 CACI C-UxS systems have been deployed worldwide, with leading clients including the U.S. Military, Canada, and other customers around the globe.

Integrated Counter-UAS Defense

AI-enabled protection against evolving unmanned threats

CACI’s sophisticated integrated C-UxS architecture combines multi-domain sensors with powerful digital processing and the most extensive threat characterization to rapidly and autonomously detect, identify, and track drones across the electromagnetic spectrum. These systems maximize operator awareness and decision time and provide non-kinetic solutions to stop drones in their tracks.

The technology is informed by continuous and rigorous analysis of adversary unmanned systems, with expert insight into hardware, software, communications, and real-world operational conditions backed by reverse engineering, modeling and simulation. CACI also supports customers around the globe with training, maintenance, and deployment.

SkyValor

Long-range multi-sensor detection & non-kinetic drone defeat

SkyValor is an advanced layered drone defense solution that is designed to detect, track and defeat hostile UAS before they can attack defense forces, borders, or critical infrastructure. The system provides an early-warning capability against Group 1 to 5 unmanned aircraft, giving operators more time to assess an approaching threat and select an appropriate response.

CACI C-UxS SkyValor Long-Range Multi-Sensor Detection

Offering 24/7 protection, the automated system incorporates a suite of sensors to detect and defeat unmanned threats faster:

  • RF sensors detect control and data links from miles away with full 360-degree coverage.
  • Active radar detects targets at long range and can cue the EO/IR camera towards drones that are not emitting RF signals.
  • Cellular sensing detects 4G- and 5G-controlled drones at roughly 15 km with a standalone wireless sensor that does not require cellular carrier cooperation, resolving each active cellular connection to a 3D track and statistically filtering for drone behavior without analyzing user traffic or subscriber identity.
  • The EO/IR system provides visual confirmation, automated target recognition and classification at approximately 5 to 7 km.

Non-kinetic defeat solutions are deployed to ensure low-to-no collateral and minimal risk to surrounding communities and infrastructure. These include broadband, smart jamming, and command-inject effects.

CACI C-UxS SkyValor Non-Kinetic Drone Defeat

SkyValor can be easily upgraded with over-the-air software updates to introduce new detection algorithms and defeat techniques and keep pace with evolving drone threats. The system can also connect seamlessly with existing command-and-control and counter-UAS architectures.

SkyValor is available in three deployment-ready configurations:

CACI C-UxS SkyValor SV TL (Trailer)

SV TL (Trailer):
A transportable configuration for rapid deployment to high-priority locations

CACI C-UxS SkyValor SV TK (F-550)

SV TK (F-550):
A vehicle-mounted configuration combining mobility with long-range detection, automated tracking and precision defeat

CACI C-UxS SkyValor SV TF (Tower)

SV TF (Tower/Fixed Site):
An elevated installation providing persistent wide-area protection for borders, installations and critical infrastructure

BEAM 3.0

Rugged backpackable counter-UAS & electronic attack system

Beam 3.0 Rugged Backpackable Counter-UAS

BEAM 3.0 is a modular and highly portable, low-SWaP electronic attack system for detecting, identifying, locating and direction-finding modern small UAS and associated communications devices. It surveys the surrounding spectrum for drone control links, range extenders, push-to-talk radios, Wi-Fi, Mode-S/ADS-B, Bluetooth and analog or digital video signals.

The system is designed for a variety of environments and can be employed in a dismounted, emplaced, or vehicle mounted configuration. With instantaneous 200MHz of instantaneous bandwidth (IBW) and 5 to 15W of transmit power, it can defeat a wide range of drones and signals.

CACI C-UxS Beam 3.0 Portable Low-SWaP Electronic Attack System

CACI C-UxS Beam 2.0 Electronic Attack System

A single BEAM unit can be deployed independently, and multiple systems can also connect through a self-forming mesh network controlled by a single operator. This advanced capability adapts to disconnected, degraded and bandwidth-limited environments while significantly increasing detection and mitigation coverage.

The system’s extensive knowledge of UAS signals and protocols enables automatic generation of targeted electronic attack techniques against detected threats. An open modular architecture also allows BEAM to exchange data with other sensors, command-and-control software and kinetic effectors.
