Defense technology provider Maris-Tech Ltd. will highlight its battle-proven situational awareness technology for manned and unmanned armored fighting vehicles at the upcoming AUSA 2026 exhibition in Washington.
Modern armored vehicles face severe operational challenges in complex combat environments due to restricted visibility, asymmetric ground threats, and the rapid proliferation of low-cost aerial systems. Vehicle crews are routinely required to interpret multiple disjointed sensor feeds and manage significant blind spots, creating heavy cognitive pressure when making split-second tactical decisions.
To address these hurdles, Maris-Tech brings advanced video processing and artificial intelligence directly to the vehicle edge. The system fuses and stitches up to 12 synchronized day and thermal sensors into a unified, real-time operational picture, delivering full 360-degree perimeter vision and true 3D spatial awareness. Integrated AI capabilities automate the real-time detection, classification, and tracking of both ground-based threats and aerial hazards such as drones.
Built around a complete edge AI video pipeline, the system manages the entire operational sequence from multi-sensor acquisition and high-speed processing through AI analytics and low-latency video distribution. Rather than presenting crews with fragmented feeds, the solution provides a coherent, vehicle-centric view designed to reduce cognitive load and accelerate decision-making.
The system can also integrate with onboard weapon and fire-control systems, supporting reduced sensor-to-shooter latency and faster tactical responses. Featuring a compact, low size, weight, and power (low-SWaP), modular, and OEM-ready architecture, the technology fits within the strict physical constraints of armored platforms and can be tailored for both new vehicle programs and retrofit upgrades.
“Today, providing crews with more cameras is not enough. The challenge is to turn multiple sensor feeds into one clear and actionable operational picture,” said Israel Bar, CEO of Maris-Tech. “Our edge AI technology processes and analyzes the information where it is generated, enabling crews to identify threats earlier, understand their surroundings faster and respond more effectively.”
Maris-Tech’s situational awareness technology is already deployed on more than 1,000 operational platforms, including main battle tanks and D9 armored engineering vehicles. The Nasdaq-listed company (MTEK, MTEKW), which is currently conducting testing on next-generation armored personnel carrier platforms, will display its suite in Hall ABC at Booth #761 during the exhibition running October 12–14.
