The architecture provides a termination path that is independent of the aircraft’s normal command-and-control system, using Iridium satellite communications to enable reliable operation regardless of the distance between the drone and operator.

Beyond Flight Termination Architecture: A complete safety architecture comprising an airborne termination unit, operator base station and independent Iridium SATCOM link, enabling termination commands to interrupt or replace hardware control signals when required.
Beyond 12: A compact, IP68-rated airborne flight termination system for drones using CAN or PWM flight-control signals. Weighing just 98 g, the unit features an integrated Iridium modem and can also support an optional secondary communications link or integrated radio.
Beyond Base Single: A portable handheld operator unit for manually activating flight termination, featuring integrated Iridium connectivity, clear system-status indicators and a rechargeable battery providing more than eight hours of operation.
Beyond 22: An advanced flight termination system currently under development for automated and multi-aircraft operations. Up to 12 units can be controlled from a single Beyond Base multi, while integrated GNSS supports automated geofence-based termination and aircraft position reporting if normal telemetry is lost.
