Beyond 22 is an advanced flight termination system for operations requiring automated containment or centralized control of multiple drones. Manual termination can be initiated through Beyond Base Multi, with one base station controlling up to 12 airborne units. An integrated GNSS receiver also enables automatic termination when an aircraft reaches a configured geographical boundary.
Eight independently configurable PWM or digital signal channels allow Beyond 22 to interrupt key aircraft systems or replace control signals with predetermined alternatives. The unit can filter messages on the primary CAN bus and insert new commands to execute termination, with a separate backup CAN bus interruption path. Four configurable emergency-recovery outputs and an open-drain connection can activate parachutes, relays, fuel pumps and other equipment selected for the aircraft.
A serial or IP connection to the autopilot enables operators to upload fly and no-fly zones before departure and monitor system health through the ground control station. Beyond 22 can continue reporting the aircraft’s position if its normal telemetry link is lost, providing an independent source of tracking information during a wider communications failure. Iridium IMT satellite connectivity provides long-range communications, and optional internal or external radio links can also be integrated.
