Orbital Corporation has secured a commercial contract with US-based autonomous cargo aircraft developer MightyFly, supplying three Orbital Heavy Fuel Engine propulsion systems to support ongoing platform development and flight testing.

Scheduled for delivery in September 2026, the engine order expands Orbital’s footprint in the rapidly growing autonomous middle-mile logistics sector. This emerging market increasingly relies on uncrewed aerial systems to transport high-value, time-critical freight across commercial supply chains. The three propulsion systems will support MightyFly’s next phase of aircraft validation as the developer advances its autonomous cargo platform toward commercial deployment, establishing a foundational pathway for potential follow-on production orders.
