Orbital UAV, a leading developer of integrated heavy fuel engine systems for military and commercial drones, is launching its new Orbital Power Management System (PMS).
The Orbital PMS is a cutting-edge electrical controls product designed to offer comprehensive power input, protection, and regulation for both engine systems and vehicles. Notably, it features prototype remote starting tailored for Orbital’s 150cc 2-cylinder boxer engine.
The Orbital 150cc heavy fuel engine utilizes a horizontally opposed twin-cylinder two-stroke boxer design with a low vibration signature, and features Orbital’s proprietary FlexDI technology, which uses a spray-guided direct fuel injection system to atomize the fuel with injected air.
The company’s dedicated Controls team was responsible for developing the innovative Orbital PMS, reportedly working tirelessly to deliver the advanced system. Moving forward, Orbital is set to expand this technology to accommodate a variety of engine sizes, providing tailored solutions across different PMS specifications.
