T-MOTOR has introduced the AUZ series of propellers specifically engineered to meet the evolving efficiency and reliability requirements of the global unmanned system industry.
As the demand for electric fixed-wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) grows across industrial, commercial, and civil sectors, there is an increasing need for propulsion components that can handle higher load capacities and extended service lives. The AUZ series addresses these requirements by integrating advanced aerodynamic technology with high-strength materials, forming a complete power system when paired with the company’s existing AT series motors and ESC products.
At the center of the series is a custom airfoil refined through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. This design focuses on maximizing lift while minimizing drag and operational noise, a combination essential for missions such as environmental monitoring or security patrols where stealth and endurance are prioritized. Because fixed-wing platforms operate at varying speeds, the series includes multiple pitch options. This variety allows operators to select a propeller optimized for their specific flight envelope, whether for high-speed logistics or low-speed mapping.
Structural integrity is managed through a specialized layup design using pre-impregnated carbon fiber and a PMI core. This integrated molding process ensures the propellers remain lightweight while maintaining the stiffness necessary to resist deformation under load. The manufacturing process results in under 1% porosity, which contributes to consistent quality and a longer service life in the field. To ensure the propellers can perform in extreme environments, they are designed to withstand temperature fluctuations ranging from -30°C to 60°C, as well as high humidity, salt spray, and UV radiation.
Technical performance is further enhanced by an optimized mass distribution that reduces rotational inertia. By concentrating mass near the axis, the propellers achieve faster acceleration and deceleration, providing the rapid dynamic response required for stability during takeoff, landing, and complex maneuvering. Additionally, the AUZ series is engineered to match the speed and torque curves of T-MOTOR’s AT series motors, a synergy intended to minimize energy loss during long-range missions.
The series is compatible with various platform layouts, including conventional fixed-wing, flying wing, and VTOL hybrid systems. This versatility is intended to simplify inventory management for operators working across diverse applications such as power inspection, agricultural surveying, and emergency rescue. By offering a standardized propulsion solution for multiple industrial needs, the series aims to provide a cost-effective path for manufacturers to elevate UAV platform performance.
