Allocortech has introduced the Taurus AEX, a next-generation BLDC motor controller designed to deliver exceptional efficiency, precision, and flexibility for unmanned systems, robotics, and advanced electric propulsion applications.
Built for both high-performance motor control and linear actuation, the Taurus AEX supports full Field Oriented Control (FOC) with Space Vector PWM (SVPWM), enabling up to 2 kW peak power and highly efficient operation.
The controller features isolated CAN 2.0 and RS-485 communication interfaces, as well as Hall and Quadrature sensor inputs, providing advanced feedback and positioning capabilities. Its four-quadrant control architecture allows custom closed-loop operation on speed, torque, voltage, or power, while also supporting regenerative braking and hybrid-electric powertrain integration.
The Taurus platform is built on Allocortech’s open-source allocore SDK, allowing OEMs and developers to tailor software control, communication protocols, and performance parameters for mission-specific requirements. The controller is available in multiple voltage configurations and has been adapted into ruggedized packages for diverse deployment environments.
