Elistair, a developer of tethered drone systems for defense and commercial applications, has launched the Khronos “Dual Payload” configuration, which significantly enhances the Khronos dronebox’s tactical capabilities.
This new configuration transforms the dronebox into a multi-mission aerial mast by combining a Silvus StreamCaster 4200P tactical radio and a Nextvision DragonEye2 EO camera. This dual payload setup enables the system to provide both secure communication relay and persistent Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR).
Acting as a Variable Height Antenna (VHA), the system extends and stabilizes tactical mesh networks. This capability ensures the maintenance of continuous and resilient radio links, even in complex or GNSS-denied operational environments.
The Khronos “Dual Payload” retains its established performance, offering 24 hours of continuous operation and a 60-meter operational altitude. This offers special forces and tactical units a reliable and instantly deployable solution, delivering communication and observation capabilities from a single system.
This new development highlights Elistair’s commitment to continuously adapting its technology to meet the evolving needs of its customers and modern battlefields.
The Khronos “Dual Payload” will be unveiled for the first time at Milipol 2025, on the company’s stand 5F147.
