Schiebel has launched two new products, the CAMCOPTER® S-101 and CAMCOPTER® S-301 Unmanned Air Systems (UAS), offering refined designs dedicated to weaponisation and engineered to meet the evolving demands of modern military operations.
Building on the success of the CAMCOPTER® S-100, a proven solution widely deployed by navies and armies on land and at sea, the armed S-101 and S-301 introduce a new level of precision strike capability for tactical UAS.
The platforms feature advanced performance, military-grade systems integration, embedded AI, and robust architecture, purpose-built for demanding defense missions across multi-domain environments. Both systems are designed to maintain operational effectiveness even in contested electromagnetic environments.
Development and production of the S-101 and S-301 are managed by Schiebel Defence GmbH, a newly established subsidiary based in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, dedicated exclusively to armed UAS. The company ensures the platforms meet the specific needs of military forces, focusing on the integration of in-service missiles and rockets well suited to tactical rotary platforms, providing persistent and distributed lethality against asymmetric threats at stand-off ranges.
Hans Georg Schiebel, Chairman of the Schiebel Group, stated, “The worldwide security landscape is shifting rapidly and we are seeing a significant increase in demand for armed unmanned platforms and systems. With the establishment of Schiebel Defence GmbH, we are positioning ourselves to respond directly to this demand. The launch of the weaponised CAMCOPTER® S-101 and S-301 platforms reflects our commitment to providing armed forces with advanced, reliable and mission-ready armed systems that meet the challenges of modern operations.”
With the establishment of Schiebel Defence GmbH, the Group is responding to changing geopolitical challenges and rising demand for weaponised autonomous systems tailored to military requirements, marking a strategically important step in strengthening Schiebel’s position as a global provider of defense-grade UAS.
