MostaTech Ltd., a developer and manufacturer of fiber optic gyroscopes (FOGs) and FOG-based inertial measurement units (FOG IMUs), recently welcomed Malta’s Prime Minister, Dr. Robert Abela, to its manufacturing facility at Mosta Technopark.
Accompanied by Minister for the Economy, Enterprise, and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri, Dr. Abela toured the high-tech production areas and research and development facilities. The delegation observed firsthand the advanced processes behind the development of MostaTech’s compact inertial sensors—core components in stabilization, control, and navigation systems used across aerospace, defense, and maritime environments.
Established in Malta in 2008, MostaTech has grown into a leading force in the global inertial sensor market. Its 3,200-square-meter facility houses approximately seventy skilled professionals and an in-house R&D team that designs proprietary tools and technologies to drive manufacturing excellence.
MostaTech’s high-performance FOGs and IMUs are renowned for their reliability in mission-critical systems. Among the company’s achievements is the integration of its sensors into the Airbus A350’s flight control systems—a testament to the precision and durability of its solutions.
The Prime Minister’s visit reinforces MostaTech’s contribution to Malta’s innovation economy and its growing significance as a hub for advanced manufacturing.
